This 100% hand embroidered Kashmir wool shawl has been created by a master craftsman from the valley of Kashmir. The nature themed design and motif on the shawl is an inspiration from Mogul era motif and designs of the late 17th century and the artist’s interpretation of the beauty and color that surrounds him in Kashmir valley. Having inherited the tradition and skills of embroidery from his forefathers, this shawl is a true reflection of century old traditions and artistry.

Hand embroidered on black Kashmir wool, this shawl has delicate flower motifs, buds and leaves connected by delicate vines in classic earth colors and shades of browns and greens with just a touch of pink in the center of the flowers. A beautiful delicate border frames the entire shawl consisting of a chain of flowers connected by looped vines. The elegance of this shawl is inimitable and the shawl itself is a Kashmir exclusive.

Color: Black Kashmir wool base with embroidery primarily in earthy shades of orange, brown and green. The flowers have small pink centers.
