This completely hand embroidered Kashmir wool Ivory Shawl is a stunning garden of spring paisleys on delicate vines against a bed of ivory white. Paisleys have a long history with Kashmir having originated in the region as a flower motif called ‘bootah’ that over time transformed into what is currently known as the paisley. A talented Kashmir craftsman has captured the beauty of the sinuous paisley and has cleverly hand embroidered the paisleys into a field of delicate flowering vines.
The body of this 100% hand embroidered Kashmir wool Ivory shawl is covered with delicate flowering vines with young leaves, each vine ending into a paisley. The various shades of green used on this shawl make this shawl blend into any season of the year as it comprises of a range starting with baby greens that would be representative of spring through much earthier shades representative of late summer or even early fall. The ivory body of the shawl is a perfect backdrop to bring out the beauty of this simple yet timeless and elegant motif in a color that pays its respect to the aura and beauty of nature.
